"I Can use non-standard units of measurement to find out how tall I am."

This Download Includes:
Apples, numbered 1-48; organized in stacks of 4.
A page of 12 extra unnumbered apples
A page of 12 black and white apples
A title piece: How many apples tall are you?
Sentence strips for students to complete

Directions: Simply cut out the title and the apple stacks, laminate, and starting with #1 on the bottom, tape the apples to a wall to form a vertical number line.
Children measure themselves to see how many “apples tall” they are! This activity provides counting, measuring, comparing, and contrasting practice and your students will be having fun at the same time! Win-win!

Children can then write their response on the strip of paper provided (or create your own) and post it near the graph to show the class results.
