How Light Works: Comprehension Articles including questions relating to multiple texts.
These texts have been written on a fourth grade reading level and make students feel successful when reading about new scientific concepts. Each article has a multiple choice comprehension question, vocabulary block, a space to illustrate the new concept, and a once sentence summary statement.
These short nonfiction texts work great for centers, morning work, homework, whole group, or small group work. I've also had great success with gluing these pages into our Science journals. Students then have the chance to go back and reread information.
