Horticulture and Plant Management Complete Course Outline

37 week outline, including a pacing guide and project ideas for each week of the year. The pacing guide offers suggestions for assessments, resources, projects and activities to do with students through out the course of their entire year.

Key Concepts/ Learning Goals:
Students will use a series of exercises and assignments to gain a greater knowledge of horticulture and plant management. Students will have the opportunity to select a fruit tree of their choice and not only dissect the seed from the fruit, but take it through the entire process required to grow and maintain a healthy tree. We will also have a final paper that we will work on throughout the course of the year, adding the things we learn to the paper as we go along. At the end of the course we will present our research on our plants of choice as true horticulturists! I will also bring in plants and materials to touch and study to gain a full appreciation and understanding of plant life.
