If you are looking for the perfect resource for all things FFA horse judging, look no further! The FFA Horse Judging PowerPoint covers everything from how to evaluate a halter horse, deliver reasons, how to evaluate each FFA horse performance class, the differences and similarities between the performance classes, simple + effective ways to judge the classes, reasons word libraries to help students write reasons, reasons templates, reasons examples, and terminology explained! The FFA Horse Judging PowerPoint also includes transitions and animations and video links for your students to practice each class. Some of the more popular classes such as Halter and Western Pleasure have several videos linked. These videos are linked to outside of the resource, so you need to have internet access to get to these videos. There are also interactive note pages that follow along with the FFA Horse Judging PowerPoint to help with student engagement and other activities (see below). Additionally, there are 14 lesson plans to provide you with ideas on how to structure your lessons and send over to your administration if needed! The PowerPoint is in PPT and PDF formats. 3. How long will this take?

Flash Card Review (individual): 5 minutes per round with one set

Memory Card Game (group/partner): 5 minutes per round with one set

4. What do you need?

-All materials printed

-Internet Access/Youtube access for video links

-Colored pencils/crayons for reining pattern activity

Flashcard Sets:

-Pencil

-Printed flash cards, speed dating cards, and memory game card sets

-Printed instructions

-Scissors to cut out cards

-Laminating machine and sheets to preserve cards to use from year to year (optional but recommended)

-Cardstock

-Printed matching worksheets, wordsearch, and keys for teacher

-Optional: Colors and colored pencils, highlighters, hole puncher it students are placing cards on key rings, tape/stapler if placing cards in notebooks

-Storage for card sets or a system to keep them organized

-Book ring/key ring and single hole punch to keep sets of flashcards together but these flashcards must be laminated to prevent tearing

-Plastic bins with drawers at each table
