What educators are saying

It was a good hands-on poster. We were able to use both the vertical and horizontal for many problems.
I put this on my wall and refer to it while teaching integers. The students use it to help them solve integer problems!

Description

Number placement and having number sense is so important, no matter the grade! This horizontal number line kit will be a fantastic addition to your classroom resources for students to look at. Students often need help remembering what inequality symbols mean, remembering how ordering negatives works (like -6 is actually bigger than -7), and so many other things that can be easily referenced on a number line!

This number line comes in FOUR sizes that way you can find one that fits the needs (or space!) of your classroom. Tons of add-ons are included so you can personalize it as you see fit! Examples include inequality symbols and open and closed points, fractions and decimals with arrows to point to their place on the numberline, and so much more! Make sure to check out the preview because it shows all 116 included pages!

Number Lines Included:

  • Integers from -20 to 20
  • Integers from -15 to 15
  • Integers from -10 to 10
  • A -5 to 5 numberline with 0.5 increments (-5, -4.5, -4, -3.5, ..., 4, 4.5, 5)

Customize your Number Line with these Add-Ons:

  • Title: "Integers Number Line" or "Number Line" (in 5+ options)
  • Inequality Symbols (5+ options)
  • +∞ and -∞ symbols
  • Arrows - Blank, Bigger/Smaller, Left/Right (4+ options)
  • Labels - Bigger/Smaller, Left/Right (3 options)
  • Labels with arrows for common decimals: 0.2, 0.25, 0.333, 0.5, 0.666, 0.75 (3 options)
  • Labels with arrows for common fractions: 1/5, 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 3/4 (3 options)

I keep my numberline in the back of my classroom right above the bulletin board. It's super easy to reference, and I do so often! Depending on the size you print, the number lines will be about 7-13 feet long! They're only 4.5" tall, though, so they certainly do not overwhelm a room.
