What educators are saying

Our 5th-grade cluster used this in our hallway bulletin boards. They were so fun to read as you walked down the hallway because there was always something new you saw that brought someone joy. It really helped us get to know our students and the students in the other classes a little bit more.
I LOVED this writing activity. My students filled their sheets up with things that bring them joy and colored it. It made for a beautiful display during the holiday time!

Description

A guided writing activity that will help students reflect on the things that bring them joy during the holiday season. Use the finished results to create a beautiful hallway display.

This download provides you with a product that can be tailored to your individual classroom.

Option 1: Printable

There are two printable formats for this product. Both printables have a version for older students and a version for younger students. You can choose to print on 8.5 x 11 paper or on legal paper 8.5 x 14. Just remember to change your printer settings for "legal paper" if you choose to print the legal paper option! Those are included in a a separate file.

Option 2: Mobile

To make a mobile, you will need a hanger for each student, string, and a hole punch. Students will write on the JOY letters, then cut them out. You’ll need to punch a hole in each letter. Then students can thread the string through and tie the string to the bottom of the clothes hanger. There are printable titles for the mobile that can be attached to the clothes hanger.

Option 3: Poster

Students can cut out the JOY letters and title then glue them to a large piece of construction paper. (See example on product cover)
