• Halloween: This Tim Burton-inspired spooky portrait lesson is a best seller in my store, with many 5 star ratings. While similar tutorials do exist elsewhere, mine is unique in that it it is only 4 steps, and offers a portrait template (which many students enjoy using). A hair & accessory choice board is also included, which students may use for inspiration.

• Christmas: Create Van Gogh-inspired poinsettias with oil pastels! This original and easy-to-follow tutorial was inspired by Van Gogh's sunflower paintings and briefly explores elements of post-impressionism. Includes a step-by-step tutorial with photos!

• Remembrance Day: A watercolour lesson for Remembrance Day. This download includes eight different printables, as well as reference photos, the poem "In Flander's Field" and information about John McCrea, who wrote the poem. Some printables include poppies that students may add colour to, while others include soldier silhouettes, decorative borders, etc.

• Valentine's Day: Tired of painting hearts and flowers for Valentine's Day, and want to try something new? Try painting these lovebirds with your class! This lesson uses watercolour paint and explores concepts around colour theory and contrasting / complementary colours.

• Easter: Celebrate Ukraine with this pysanky art lesson! Pysanky are Ukrainian Easter eggs. This lesson includes reading passages about pysanky, a chart explaining the meaning behind various symbols and colours used in pysanky designs, and 12 original colouring pages. Students may either add colour to existing designs or use the blank egg outline and add their own designs. I love celebrating my own Ukrainian heritage, and I hope it comes through in this lesson!
