History of Valentines Day Escape Room ELA Cupids Arrows Close Reading Grades 3-5

• ► Cupid has lost his arrows somewhere in time. To help him find them, students will go on a time-travel adventure where they:
• ► Read and reread the text
• ► Answer the questions
• ► Unscramble mystery words
• ► Discover the ancient history of Valentine's Day
• ► Learn modern day facts about the holiday.
• Did you know that teachers receive more valentine cards than anyone else?

Students begin with a leveled reading comprehension passage and four challenges with text dependent questions. Cupid's Lost Arrows Escape Room will have your students having fun while they're practicing reading comprehension.

The reading passage, Cupid's Lost Arrows is an original informative text written by a teacher (me) about the ancient Roman legacy of Cupid, and facts about Saint Valentine. It's at a reading level for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students.
