History of Christmas: Food, Caroling, and Christmas Cards

This download includes unit 4 of the Reading Through History Christmas series. This unit summarizes the stories of traditional Christmas foods, caroling, and Christmas cards. Each individual lesson traces the lineage of the tradition and describes how they became an essential part of the Christmas holiday and broader culture. For each lesson, a series of five reading comprehension questions are included, along with guided reading activities, and a constructed response question or student activity. The lessons are printable, and the download includes everything necessary to fill around three thirty to fifty minute segments of class.
