Description

This PowerPoint is an updated version of the old power point, it has all of the same information, but goes into more depth with 67 more slides of information, activities, assessments, and small projects to do during the unit. This should now take a good couple of weeks to cover in depth and to complete all of the activities. It not only details the major events in the history of astronomy, examining the famous astronomers, such as Ptolemy, Copernicus, Brahe, Keppler, Galileo, It covers the major astronomers, and history of astronomy including the geocentric vs. heliocentric, models of the universe, the invention of the telescope, discovery of planets and moons. The Updated version now includes what we have learned about the Universe since the beginning of time and how our knowledge of the universe continues to grow, with 67 total slides, full of information, review questions, thinking map activities, assessments, and discussion topics, as well as ideas of how to implement the lesson and suggested activities to introduced the lesson to students. This is the updated, updated version of the original PowerPoint that is now editable. (the second one wasn't editable, I noticed.) This is full of information now that combines two units I had prepared for my Science students. Some of the questions and activities are higher order thinking skills, so it may be necessary to adapt (as with anything you purchase on TPT's to your own students' skill level)
