Description

How many times do you hear your students talk about their favorite rapper or hip hop artist and maybe even their street wear clothing? In order to engage students we should also incorporate fun ways to address articulation with things they relate to for a change of pace.

May be used as an additional speech task during Black History Month in appreciation of the artistry of rap, hip hop and street wear fashion.

Easel Ready: Perfect for online speech pathologists, English Language Learners and reading teachers. You may also print them out, cut them and laminate them for on the go therapy.

They include the international phonetic alphabet with photos of the mouth, lips and teeth. After seeing the mouth and lip cards, you will also have access to the following:

  • Index of all words
  • Contrast Minimal Pairs
  • Consonant Blends
  • Vowel Words for conceptualizing open mouth vocal practice
  • Multisyllabic words
  • 4-6 Word Sentences
  • Lovely yellow flowers to guide you along!

Cards are ordered by child's development of phoneme production. I have used all these cards with my adult and pediatric students. They are also useful for struggling readers in sounding out words.

Hope you enjoy these as much as I do. Thank you!

This complete Speech Therapy Articulation Program is also available in Spanish HERE. If you prefer not having any graphics, we also have the same articulation activity in this version HERE Great program for your adult aphasia, older children who have no interest in the character themes and those who need reading and pronunciation practice training.
