High School Suggested Reading List for Christian Schools

It can be a true challenge to find reading material for our students that is both appropriate and engaging. This list is a great starting place for building a classroom library, suggestions for adding to your school library, or a summer reading list.

In the A Beka curriculum for 7th-12th grade, there are six book report assignments suggested per year. For these six book reports, there are five suggested book genres that students may select from. In my classroom it has worked well to pretty much follow A Beka's system. However, I found that our school library is small and my students struggle to make a book choice and they struggle even more to understand what category a book fits into. This is simply a large suggested reading list that I give to parents and students at the beginning of each year to give them some idea of what to read.
