High School Introduction to Art Advanced Art Lesson: Artist Inspiration Project

This assignment is a perfect way to end the semester or year in middle school art and high school art classes. It gives students an opportunity to work more independently by allowing them to choose their subject matter, inspiration, and material. By assigning each student an artist and work of art to research and inspire their work of art, you are still providing them with a jumping-off point to create their own work of art.
