Description

This is a HIGH SCHOOL CERAMIC CURRICULUM binder students can use to guide their lessons INDEPENDENTLY in class. You can print these out and have each student use their binder during the course. This curriculum is set up as CHOICE BASED with a "boot-camp" introduction. The teacher starts the course off by teaching the general information about clay, such as its properties and the process. Then the teacher introduces the building techniques by showing a quick demonstration. The students are then required to create a quick small piece to simply practice and try the technique. After all of the boot-camps are taught and tried by the students they are left on their own to finish the course independently with teacher assistance as needed. The students work at their own pace, working through the lessons. They are given a topic (Such as "make something functional") , then they are left to make their own choices, on what technique they will use and what they will make.

The binder includes:

- What is clay, what is glaze, what is firing? etc.
