Hebrew Reading Practice Booklets Bundle (1-4)

As students learn to read a foreign language, practice is essential for their growth. But, often the curriculum in class or time constraints do not allow for sufficient daily practice, not to mention the enthusiasm level of the students when comes to spending time practicing reading.

These booklets have been classroom tested and were met with great success. The students were involved and engaged, excited to read to earn that signature and finally a sticker or stamp reward.

NOTE: These booklets do assume that the students are familiar with in sight and sound with the letters of the Aleph-Bet and the vowels symbols and sounds.

About the Booklets

• Booklet 1: The students practice recognizing Hebrew letters by name or by sound and then learn to read and sound out letters and words with קמץ, פתח and with חתף פתח . They are introduced to a silent letter at the end of a word (aleph, hey, or ain).
• Booklet 2: the students continue to practice reading words with קמץ, פתח, חתף פתח and a silent letter at the end of the word, going all the way to 4 syllable words (5 letters).
• Booklet 3: two letter words with קמץ, פתח or חתף פתח and any letter at the end. While the focus is on reading and not at all on vocabulary - all of the ‘words’ in the practice sets are actual words which is great for native Hebrew speaking students. It is also an opportunity for the teacher to differentiate and teach some students some vocabulary.
• Booklet 4: three letter words with קמץ, פתח or חתף פתח and any letter at the end.
