    Description

Students will enjoy these self-checking, digital flashcards, whether as a center, a whole class, or for tutoring, as they learn the alphabet (aleph bet, alef beis, or aleph bais). These digital flashcards are engaging, effective, and fun!! There's deliberate wait time for students to identify the letter before moving on.

Gamification of curriculum promotes faster learning and better memory retention.

Check out the PREVIEW video by clicking on "Products in this Bundle (4)" above. Make sure you can see the Hebrew letter names at the bottom of the slide and volume is turned on.

Hebrew Letters For English Speakers (Ashkenazi) is a phonetic and pictorial, paperless, self-running, self-checking, visual, musical, engaging, "digital flashcard" alphabetic slide show series for a whole class or center activity and is amazing for your Hebrew instruction, even with distance learning.

You will complete each slide activity in as little as 5 minutes or as much as 30 minutes of class time.

    • NOTE- Make sure you have PowerPoint software on which to play the presentation.

    • NOTE- Aleph and Ayin are presented as silent letters because only their vowels make sounds. If you really feel strongly that you want a picture on the aleph or ayin slide, just drop your own clip art or photograph onto the slide. It's that easy!

    • Editable features- Change the spelling in the text boxes and alter the slide speed with regular PowerPoint controls.

    Why is this program better?

My slide presentations of Hebrew letters are easier for English speakers!

Other programs present unfamiliar Hebrew words, not familiar English words with the letters. So, a lion is often shown with the letter aleph, and a camel is shown for gimmel. Not in my slide show series! The pictures make sense to English speakers:

    • banana start with bais
    • veterinarian starts with vais
    • gate starts with gimmel

Self-Quiz Feature with Instant Answer Feedback included

Students have a few moments to guess or say the name of the letter on the screen before the correct answer appears, giving almost-instant feedback! Educational researchers say this is very motivating for kids, and the reason they are drawn to video games.
