What educators are saying

These made for very cute "Parent Gifts"! They were fun to make with our kiddos who have language needs- lots of great vocabulary in the pictures. This will become a yearly tradition!
My students are in the process of completing their 2023 calendars as a gift for their families. It's been a great repetitive art lesson for the class as they work on making choices, identifying colors and fine motor work. Thank you for this great resource!

Description

Are you looking for a fun and inexpensive gift to have your students make for their parents for the holidays? This handprint calendar craft will be a gift that parents will cherish and remember for years to come. If you have children of your own, it also makes a great gift for family members (and for yourself!). I use this with my students and my own children. I also give it to grandparents and great grandparents in my family as a gift each holiday season.

There are fun poems for each month to go along with the handprint craft. Each one mentions the handprint or footprint and the object that it resembles.

**This will also be a one-time purchase for you that will last forever! I’ll update it each year with the calendar for the following year. This will be the purchase that keeps on giving!

There is a detailed page of directions that goes with the calendar. It gives detail of how I did the hand and feet stamping. After they all dried, I then have students use a glue stick to glue the calendar part onto colored construction paper and I used tape (double stick, but you could also roll-up regular tape) to stick on the poem and prints.

I have also used a binding machine to just bind them together. This works great too. You can see this in the video preview.

Here’s the months/prints included:

January- snowflake

February- heart

March- shamrock

April- butterfly

May- flowers

June- sun

July- flag &/or firework

August- school bus

September- apple tree

October- candy corn

November- turkey (boy & girl options included)

December- gingerbread boy or girl with a tree or candy cane (or both!) – (boy & girl options)

**A new fall leaf option has been added for you to interchange with whatever fall month you'd like.

*Both numbered & blank calendars are included, as well as color/black & white poem pages*
