Description

I created this social story because I had a specific need for a story that focused on walking on one side of the hallway. This story addresses that rule along with keeping hands by our sides, walking quietly, and walking instead of running.

The text in the story is as follows:

"We spend most of our time in school in our classroom.

Sometimes we line up to go other places in our school like the cafeteria, the library, or the gym.

We follow the hallway rules in the hallway. When we follow the rules we make the teachers and the other students in our school happy.

The hallway is like a road. We stay on one side so that other classes can walk on the other side.

We walk quietly so that other classes can keep learning.

In the hallway, we keep our hands by our side.

We keep ourselves and others safe by walking in the hallway.

When we follow the hallway rules everyone is school is happy! It helps to make sure our school is a great place to learn!"
