Enjoy making a treat while learning about the scientific method and changing a liquid to a solid for a yummy Halloween treat and change a solid to a liquid and back again while making Pumpkin Pops!
This product includes three experiments:
• Marshmallow float or sink
• Dissolving Marshmallows
• Heating Marshmallows
Plus two Science Snacks:
• Marshmallow Pudding
• Marshmallow Pops
After you make your science snacks:
• use color or black and white picture cards to sequence steps in the process.
• write to retell the process of making the snack using one three different writing formats.
• use the large sequencing cards for a pocket chart center.
• use the small sequencing cards for an independent activity.
Each science experiment and snack could be a stand alone activity, or combined with your science experiments for a fun fall science day!
With these simple lab booklet students will:
→ Follow simple procedures for making a snack or conducting an experiment.
→ Make a hypothesis.
→ Document results and observe changes.

→ a full page version of the experiment procedures for easy display
