Description

Introducing the "Halloween Fright" Video, plus TONS of Halloween literacy materials for Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade. This song is intentionally mellow & school-friendly. Don't worry--Halloween may be scary ... But in the end, Super Dog saves the day!

Just in case your students want something spookier, I've attached a link to another spookier version! When you purchase this product, you'll be able to view one video through TpT. In addition, when you unzip the giant "Supporting Document" file, the first product you'll see is a link to 2 versions of the video on my private Vimeo site. I've included the one on TpT plus the scarier version. Choose which one works best for your students, and then choose to stream it and/or download it.

Next you'll see the matching 86-page Halloween Common Core Literacy packet.

You'll also get:

1. An mp3 version of the "Halloween Fright" song.

2. Two Halloween poems, in full-color and black-and-white, that combine to make the final poem--which is also the SONG. Children learn step-by-step how to create their own versions of all three. Directions can easily be adapted for pre-K, Kindergarten, first, and second grade children. (My third graders actually enjoyed all these activities too!) Use in whole-class activities, small-group instruction, and for independent reading time.

3. Three Halloween-themed literacy centers.

4. Reproducible Halloween pictures to use for puppets or illustrations, in full-color and black-and-white (24 each).

5. Halloween-themed coloring pages, writing templates, shape books, and stationery. Choose from lined or unlined Halloween stationery pages.

6. Two bonus files that include other versions of the Halloween poems, optimized for a projector and for printing. (115 additional pages).

7. Two bonus "karaoke" versions of the song, optimized for singing and for raps--Along with lots of ideas to get you started.

8. Lots "extras" like a cute "Happy Halloween" sign, a Halloween selfie template that looks like a cell phone, the famous "Five Little Pumpkins" Halloween poem, and a section called "10 More Ideas" that includes directions for making "Witch's Brew" & more.
