Halloween Ghost Story: Philinnion (Latin II or III)

An authentic ancient ghost story from a writer named Phlegon, who collected tales of the supernatural. This story is about a girl named Philinnion who visits a young man every night -- but in the end she turns out to have died six months ago! I wanted a good Halloween-type story for my Level II kids, so I found this and translated it for them. You could also use it for higher level students if you wanted a quicker read. There is some clipart and vocabulary glossed under each paragraph, but you could certainly modify the vocabulary for your classes. It takes me about 2 class periods for my students to read through this story together.
