The story of the Big Pumpkin by Erika Silverman has been one of my favorite books since my kids were little. This is a great resource for sequencing the story.
I have included 4 different sequencing activities.
- Glue the characters in order onto the pumpkin.
- Slide the characters through the pumpkin window formed by cutting two slits in pumpkin and sliced the characters through.
- Glue the characters to a sentence strip in order and glue pumpkin to the top.
- Big character cards for your kids to hold and put in order during whole group time.
Your kids will get a kick out of this story and they will love sequencing the characters to retell the story!
