Description
Engage your 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students in social studies lessons with this interactive Halloween Around the World Flip Book! In this resource, students will learn about the history of Halloween, as well as many other October Celebrations around the world! Students will read engaging stories and facts about Halloween and other spooky holidays in Germany, Japan, Ireland and more to create this fun History Flipbook!
Halloween Around the World Flip Book - History & Reading Activity Includes:
- Dia De Los Muertos in Mexico
- Ireland Halloween festivities.
- Obon Fesitval in Japan
- Germany Halloween festivities.
- Yue Lan Festival in Hong Kong
- USA Halloween traditions.
Each page includes a quick reading passage about the traditions in the particular country. There is also a map on most pages so students can see where the country is. On each of the pages there is a small writing activity to get students thinking about the information they read. On the USA page, students are asked to think about their own Halloween traditions.
I made this simple and easy to assemble! All you need to do is print the entire packet, one sided, and double stapled. The kids then cut on each of the pages, and the flipbook is created! Your students will love reading about different October celebrations and creating this fun flipbook!

⭐ My students loved the cute, colorful flipbook (I copied using many colored pages) and really loved learning about Halloween around the world!
⭐ Love this for my students who don't get to travel or see much outside of their neighborhood, they are always blown away by the different traditions and it gets them excited about other cultures.
⭐ This is the first time my class and I have ever seen or used a Halloween Around the World resource! Thank you for being so inclusive with this activity!!
