What educators are saying
I use this resource while teaching my kindergarten students about animal habitats. It has basic sight words and repetitive text which made it a perfect fit for my young learners.
Description
This emergent reader little book will help young students practice early reading skills, while learning about habitats!!
Throughout the book, students learn about the following habitats and animals: cave- bat; pond- frog; the Arctic- walrus; the Antarctic- penguins; ocean-shark; beach- crab; desert- camel; forest- deer; mountains- mountain goat; prairie- fox; rain forest- tree frogs; and savanna- elephant.
The text follows this pattern:
This is the (habitat).
A (animal) can live in/on the (habitat).
For example,
This is a cave.
Bats can live in a cave.
This book includes the same text on both the top and bottom of each sheet of paper to make copying, sorting, stapling, and cutting easy to create a class set of little books!!
