    Description

This bundle purchase is for 17+ various assignment sheets focusing on the human body (articles, webquests, projects, quiz, puzzles, and more!).

These assignments are perfect for either in-class work, homework, or extra credit. Each worksheet is designed for Grades 5th – 8th but some minor changes should make them perfect for older or younger students as needed.

Included with this bundle package are the following assignments:

*4-page article YOUR GUIDE TO HEALTHY EATING (works great in science, language arts, health, or P.E. classrooms)

These two vocabulary wordsearch is great for science or language arts classes.

The front side is either a wordsearch or criss-cross grid with human body system and organ terms vocabulary terms.

The back side requires students to match the two correct organs with the right body system (again using the 21 words from the front).

A perfect worksheet for either in-class, homework, or extra credit.

    3) HUMAN BODY WEBQUEST & PUZZLE PAGE

The following assignment can be used in the school's computer lab, as homework, or as extra credit.

The focus of the assignment is Human Body Systems. Students research 4 body systems on the Internet to find key organs and facts. A vocabulary puzzle sheet focusing on the human body is also included.

    4) ACTIVITY : SKELETAL SYSTEM MEASUREMENT & GRAPH (PDF)

This is a fun measuring activity centering around the basics of the skeletal system. It's a perfect 1-2 lesson with partners (or groups)for either science or math class as it incorporates: names of the skeletal system bones, measuring (in cm), data collection, and graphing.

Materials needed: students will need either a ruler, meter stick, or tape measure (depending on accuracy).

    Included:

*Skeletal System Measuring Paper - students make 13 key measurements of different parts of the skeletal system (femur, humerus, height, etc...)

*Data Collection Paper - students organize their own data and then choose one item to travel around the classroom and gather data from classmates.

*Bar Graph - students set up the vertical & horizontal axis and design a graph for their collected data.

This is a great activity for either an introduction to any of these topics or else as a review. I use this with my 7th grade human body unit, but minor changes will make this work for younger or older grades.

    5) DNA ALIEN PROJECT (PDF)

Here's a fun 2-3 day art activity that can help boost any science unit that focuses on genetics (DNA, Punnett Square, etc...).

DNA ALIEN - This lesson tasks students with using DNA codes to design an alien with 8 basic physical characteristics. Each part of the alien has several options. Additional papers help students use their drawing for additional tasks such as: Venn Diagramming, questions, and writing.
