Make classroom management fun with this Ron Clark Academy inspired house point system!
HOW IT WORKS:
Assign each of your students to one of the ‘houses’ or ‘teams’. You can pre-choose your teams based on your table groups or pick these at random with the students. For the latter, a spinning wheel can be used to ‘sort’ the students into their houses, or you can use any online randomizer or even the classic ‘names in a hat’! Crests can be displayed on tables using display pegs and stuck onto the whiteboard so that points can be tallied beside each crest. Also included in this resource are points posters which you can laminate or frame and write on rather than using a whiteboard. As well as this, crests can be set as Class Dojo avatars if you'd prefer to track your points online.
WHAT’S INCLUDED:
o Eight different crests in eight bright colour options and eight pastel colour options. Each crest displays the house name, all of which are positive traits, and are available in English or Irish, or Irish with an English translation. Each crest comes in three sizes: Large (one per A4 page), Medium (two per A4 page) and small (four per A4 page.)
o A4 points posters for each crest.
o Five different ‘HOUSE POINTS’ titles that could be printed on colour and cut out or printed as a poster and displayed with your crests if you so desired.
REMEMBER:
You do not have to use all crests, traits, colours, or sizes! It’s up to you how many groups or ‘houses’ you would like to use, what traits you want to pick, and what colour options you would like in your classroom. In the previews you will find suggested ways to display these crests, but remember these are only suggestions, please feel free to be creative!
