Description

Anyone who works in Gwinnett County knows that our standards are a little different than what is written in the Common Core Curriculum.
Anyone who works with students knows that they want to know why they need to know something (confusing to explain, right?)
This is a way to take hold students accountable for their own learning by tracking their data.
I created this tracker as a way to separate their binders into each of our AKS sections. I make sure I let them know what AKS we are targeting in our different activities and they place the worksheet/notes/etc. in that section of the binder. When we target multiple AKS through a single activity (DIFFERENTIATION!) they can make notes on the activity papers to remind them what else was targeted.
After each DA, we review our progress and mark it on the tracker using the same vocabulary Gwinnett uses. This helps the students get familiar with county expectations.
This also helps relieve some stress before DAs. Students can look through their notes and recall when we practiced an AKS and how.

*NOTE: As the county updates the standards, I will update this chart and upload a new version. Stay on the lookout!*
