Description

This is a Groundhog Day Interactive Powerpoint Story! You DO need PowerPoint to run this Interactive Story. You have to help the Groundhog get back home to see if he will see his shadow.... but there are choices to make! There are even math questions to answer! It is great for review with patterns, counting, one to one correspondence, sorting, size classification, etc! Based on how you answer and what is picked.....the story is changed!

This would be great for Whole Group, Small Group, Intervention or even Centers! You can project this on a big screen and control with a computer or show it on your SmartBoard!

**There is no sound. You read the story to the kids**

**There are A LOT of animations throughout! Wait until the animations are finished before you click to make the next choice!**

~To begin, open as Read Only and put it in Slideshow Mode~

I truly hope you love this and your kids get into making different choices! You can always use reading strategies as you go through this story!! You can practice predicting what could happen next, talk about the different choices and share why it was chosen, the kids could talk about what happened after a choice was made and even make up their own different endings.

When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
Understand that each successive number name refers to a quantity that is one larger.
Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1-20, count out that many objects.
