Rusty the Greyhound: Greetings: Saying Hello to Friends - Social Skills Behavior Story - SEL

Greetings make people feel happy and acknowledged. When we don’t say “hi” to our friends, it’s easy for them to think that we’re mad or upset with them. This happened to Rusty at the playground. Rusty’s mom encouraged him to say “hi” - as soon as he did, his friends ask if he wants to play with them and they have lots of fun together. Rusty remembers to say “hi” to his friend, Polar when he arrives at the park.

Students will enjoy the colorful pictures while watching Rusty learn good choices and do the right thing.
