Description

Teach students number prefixes with this engaging Greek and Latin number prefix powerpoint! Number prefixes are used to create several words students will encounter. Recognizing these prefixes and the numbers they represent will help students better understand the meanings of these words. This powerpoint presentation gives the meanings of the common number prefixes uni-, bi-, tri-, quad-/quart-, pent-, oct-, dec-, and cent-. It includes several examples of words with each of the prefixes and pictures to go with them. Make it interactive and fun by having students brainstorm words that contain each prefix and then use what they know about those words to make a prediction about what number the prefix represents!
