Description

This activity is ideal for practicing how to graph absolute value equations. It allows students to practice a variety of equations, each created individually. These instantly increase student engagement and will keep them on task. My students love these dice mats and I bet yours will too. Bonus- they are an easy prep!

Prep for activity:

-Print off the mats and stuff in dry erase pockets.

-Hand out one dice, one expo and one eraser per pack.

Students will roll the dice to fill in the square blanks.

- - I have them roll the amount of squares - -

Then graph the problem!

Ideas on how to implement during class.

-I have students rotate and check the problem.

- - If it is correct, they erase, roll and graph

- - If it is incorrect, they raise their hand and explain what is wrong. I then check in with the person who solved it.

-This would be a great station as well.
