Description
This is a 15 page packet of tangram animal puzzles from the book Grandfather Tang's Story: A Tale Told With Tangrams by Ann Tompert. After reading this wonderful tale, have students try to figure out how the seven tangrams make each of the animals from this book. The answers are of course in the book. My students love to use their tangrams to figure out hoe to make each of the animals from this tale. After they crack the puzzle, they trace their shapes to prove they have solved it. This is a wonderful activity during your geometry unit. The puzzles have been hand-drawn.
