Grammar Quest (Offline Interactive ELA game, no Web needed)

This interactive link quest guides students through a review of figurative language, including similes, metaphors, and idioms among others. Students will think they are playing a game when they are actually reading about and practicing the use of figurative language. After practice, students are directed to write down the answers individual assessment parts for "treasure". This allows teachers to monitor progress of students as they are working at their own pace and choose appropriate rewards for the class. An additional bonus is that as this file functions much like a Webquest, but no internet access is required to complete the activity. It is a PowerPoint with hyperlinks within the document only. The answer key is provided through the hyperlinks - correct answers move you forward whereas incorrect answers do not.
