Description
Use this grammar activity to help middle and high school students communicate ideas professionally and without emotionally charged, manipulative language. Students will practice isolating examples of loaded language (also known as emotive and high-inference language) from more appropriate options, and vice versa. To facilitate this process, the editable worksheet offers several tips for avoiding problematic phrasing. An answer key is provided. Materials are delivered in a zip file as both Word Documents and PDFs. (Alternatively, a self-grading Google Drive option is available.)
