Description

The grammar handbook with basic parts of speech notes and common grammar terms is a great resource to supplement your ELA curriculum. The easy-to-follow notes help students apply correct grammar in their writing.

Students create a notecard every time a new grammar skill is introduced and add it to their flipbook.

The handbook becomes a resource for all of the grammar concepts covered throughout the year. Students can refer to the handbook when completing grammar worksheets, homework, and tests.

Fulfills Common Core L.1 and L.6 for grade levels 4th-6th. It can be adapted for older and younger grades.

Resource Includes Master Notecards, Notes, and Tips for:

- Nouns (common and proper)

- Prepositions

- Prepositional Phrases

- Action Verbs

- Helping Verbs

- Subjects and Predicates

- Simple Sentence

- Compound Sentence (and coordinating conjunctions)

- Adjectives

- Adverbs

- Subject and Object Pronouns

- Possessive Pronouns

- Direct Objects

- Indirect Objects

- Linking Verbs

- Predicate Nouns (nominatives) and Predicate Adjectives

There are several options for implementing in your classroom giving teachers flexibility and choice!

1) Teachers display the master notes on a Smartboard/screen, and students copy information onto notecards. Create a flip chart or keep all the cards organized on a binder ring.

2) Teachers print the notecard style pages in various sizes (you adjust your printer settings) and add to an interactive notebook or mini photo album.

3) Share the Google Slides file. The digital notebook has textbox space, so students may add personal notes to each "notecard" if needed.

**Page count includes digital pages.
