Description
This is a grading sheet for essays, papers, and most general writing assignments.
Over time I have been able to identify patterns in student performance on essay exams and take-home papers, which led to the development of a distinct grading sheet that has prewritten general comments along with space for personalized responses.
The prewritten comments consist of the most frequent issues that an instructor is likely to encounter in grading a writing assignment. Instead of having to continuously make the same comment over and over in paper after paper, all an instructor has to do is check the appropriate boxe(s) next to the relevant comment(s). Unless an instructor wants to highlight a specific issue, the grading sheet also decreases the need to disperse comments throughout a paper since it serves as the primary document for all feedback regarding the assignment.
The motivation behind producing this grading sheet is to reduce turnaround by allowing for a more efficient allocation of time and resources without sacrificing anything in terms of grading quality.
