Description
This 133-page package includes 30 spelling units for your Grade 5 class. I've included separate Canadian and American word lists where it was necessary.
Each unit includes a word list of 20 spelling words targeting a specific skill (short vowel sounds, long vowel sounds, compound words, multisyllabic words, etc.), and four pages of activities.
*NOTE: Each week's focus is the same as the focus of my Grade 4 Spelling and Grade 3 Spelling packages. This allows for teachers of combined grade classes to teach the same skill to both grades at the same time. 15 of the 20 words included in this package are the same as the words on the Grade 4 lists each week.
In addition to the activities, I've also included a progress chart for students to graph their spelling test scores every week to see their growth, and I've included a spelling test template that you can print, copy, and use tomorrow.
This is designed as a NO-PREP solution to your spelling program. Whether you are using it in class or assigning it for homework, students will learn phonics, word use, word meaning, and many other spelling skills.
