Grade 5 Science Unit 1 - Human Body Systems

This unit on Human Body Systems meets the requirements of the Saskatchewan Grade 5 Science outcomes and indicators. There are three units included, one for each of the following outcomes:

HB5.1: Analyze personal and societal requirements for, and the impact of, maintaining a healthy human body.

HB5.2: Investigate the structure, function and major organs of one of more human body systems, such as the digestive, excretory, respiratory, circulatory, nervous, muscular and skeletal systems

HB5.3: Assess how multiple human body systems function together to enable people to move, grow, and react to stimuli

There are 10 lessons for Outcome 1, 6 lessons for Outcome 2 and 5 lessons for Outcome 3. All have descriptions of what the teachers can do and how students are expected to perform.
