FAQ

Why are other body systems not key features of this unit? As of the change in the 2022 curriculum, individual systems or organs are no longer specifically identified. B2.1 identifies vital organs as a general statement on which organs to cover. As classroom teachers, we know that within a year, there is limited time to explore all the systems within the body. Therefore this unit focuses on three major organs the digestive, circulatory and respiratory systems.

Will this work for modified students? This unit is designed for students working at a grade 5 level. All activities are designed for students working at or around this ability level. Each teacher is responsible for modifying and accommodating the needs of their individual students.
