Grade 3 Writing Strategies Notebook for Language Arts Aligned with the NEW Alberta Program of Studies 2022!
This is an interactive Writing Strategies notebook that covers 43 outcomes in the NEW Alberta Curriculum.
This interactive Writing Notebook will serve as a practical, engaging resource that students will use and reference throughout the entire year. It covers almost all of your Writing Strategies and Crafts outcomes.
In this resource you will find:
- A cover page for your Language Arts notebook,
- A cover page for your Writing Notebook section,
- An ”I Can statement” for each outcome (that is aligned with the NEW Alberta Program of Studies) to glue at the top of your notebook page,
- Images, information, etc to create each page/anchor chart, and
- Example photos of each page of the notebook put together.
Each student will need:
- A notebook (either a composition book, a visual journal, or a lined notebook) *Note: to use with a Hilroy exercise notebook, you will need to shrink the images slightly.
- Crayons/markers/coloured pencils
- Glue stick and scissors
You will find that there are multiple copies of each image to reduce photocopying, and I have included both boy and girl images for variety where appropriate.
I have found that at the end of the school year, students are proud to show their notebooks to their parents, and parents are interested in seeing all the learning that has occurred in ELA.
