Google Earth Biome Scavenger Hunt Publisher Document with Answers

This is a Publisher document you can alter as needed.

This Biome Scavenger Hunt uses Google Earth (stand-alone or web version) to investigate some common biomes. The screenshots on the instruction page are from Google Earth Pro, but you could substitute shots of the web version if you wish.

There are data spaces which include the biome name, elevation, latitude, characteristics, and limiting factors. There are also a couple of discussion questions that go along with most of the sites.

Each of the data boxes has a built in text box so students can click and type if they are using a computer. A printed worksheet works well for some students, especially if devices are in short supply and the students are grouped.

This is the key with some possible answers filled in. Biome names differ slightly so you may see an older term as I am old.
