Google Classroom Addition Word Problems For 1st and 2nd Grade

These Google Classroom Distance Learning Addition Word Problems will be a great addition to your math time, morning work, or math centers!

When you download this resource you will receive a link. This link gives you a digital version of this resource which your students can access through Google Slides.

Each problem has a spot for students to “show” their work and create an addition equation based on the problem.

In the “Show It” section, students can move the images, counting out as many as they need for solving that particular problem.

In the “Solve It” section, students will create an equation by typing in each of the text boxes.

Students will find the addition word problems easy to understand as well as engaging with the digital component and being able to move the objects to show how they solved the problems.

**** Please note that the objects students will move are not able to be seen in the preview but can once in Google Slides. They are black and white images of the image on the word problem or a black and white image resembling the object discussed in the word problem. There are text boxes for the students to type the numbers for the equations as well!

Students are also easily able to complete these independently (if they are able to read) so these are a great option for at home learning if your school has closed due to the Coronavirus.
