My students loved playing this game after learning about the gold rush. It was like the game "Life" but set in the year 1849. Hardships and good things too!

Description

Gold Fever is a gold rush themed board game that can complement any gold rush lesson. It has been carefully designed to keep the students engaged. There are 5 different action spaces the board. Students are challenged to collect the most gold nuggets while learning about the life of a miner.

Simply print out the board and the cards and let the students enjoy!

Note: This board game has been developed specifically for the Cariboo and Fraser River gold rushes of British Columbia, Canada (new British Columbia Social Studies curriculum for Grade 4); however, simply eliminate only one Cariboo specific card if you are using the game to supplement lessons about any other type of gold rush.
