Global Worming Musical

The children in this school are sick and tired of the teachers’ boring lessons. The teachers are fed up with bored children who don’t listen to them. Everyone is happy when the school year finishes and summer holidays begin. Everyone, that is, except the school principal who is rather unceremoniously replaced.

The new school year begins with a new school principal, Mr Wrathmore. The teachers are summoned to a staff meeting only to find that they are to be replaced by substitutes and imprisoned within the school. The children welcome this new change as the substitute teachers are strangely uninterested in teaching the children anything. The children enjoy this new freedom of doing what they want to do, whenever they want to do it.

Only Alan and Ana are suspicious. With some investigation they realise that something sinister is going on in the school. Wrathmore has an evil plan that could change the world as we know it. Can Alan and Ana free the teachers and then battle the forces of ignorance and apathy with knowledge and logic? Or will Wrathmore and his minions succeed in enslaving the minds of our children?

This musical has a cast of 14 characters. It could be performed by children from Year 4 up to Year 10.
