Gifted Education Presentation to Classroom Teachers, Gifted and Talented Program

I used this to present about gifted ed to our elementary school staff. While the presentation covers everything from academic, social, and emotional needs of gifted students it also helps classroom teachers with understanding who to refer for gifted testing. Stephanie Tolan's article "Is it a Cheetah" was the main resource used for the presentation. She captures the essence of these children who maybe aren't the "teacher pleasers," but are in fact gifted and need gifted services and support in order to succeed.
