Which 4th grade math skills are taught?
The purpose of this program is to equip incoming fourth graders with fluency in TOP 8 fourth grade skills. Because of the depth and rigor of Common Core Math Standards, students often move onto new skills before having the opportunity to master the fluency of the skill. This program provides an opportunity for students to practice and build fluency daily with the TOP 8 fourth grade skills, which include:
• Reading and Writing Numbers
• Rounding
• Addition and Subtraction
• Multi-Digit Multiplication PART 1 (4-digits x 1-digit)
• Multi-Digit Multiplication PART 2 (2-digits x 2-digits)
• Division
• Fraction Equivalence and Comparison
• Add, Subtract, and Multiply Fractions
