What educators are saying

Love Mrs. B's resources. Helped me keep track of standards/mastery scores for 6 class periods. Big time saver!

Description

Organize all your math materials by Common Core Standard!

When I first began teaching in 1989, a wonderful teacher gave me a binder filled with teaching materials. All the materials were organized by objectives--we didn’t call them standards or indicators back then. That binder was my life-line.

Enter Common Core. While much of the content of my binder was still relevant, it needed to be reorganized. Some things did have to go and new things were added. Some of the objectives, now called standards, were looking a little thin. But with my binder, it was easy to see the gaps that still need to be filled.

This product doesn’t have actual lessons, but it does provide you with everything you need to get organizing by make your own common core binder!

This product includes:

• Math Domain Divider Pages (color)
• Math Standard Divider Pages (color & black and white)
• Lesson/Activity Recording Sheet for every standard (PDF & editable PowerPoint)
• Blank Divider Page (PDF & Editable Power Point
• Coordinating Spines (color)
• Blank Coordinating Spines (PDF & Editable PowerPoint)
• Blank Lesson Plan Template (PDF & Editable PowerPoint)
• Class Checklist - Blank (PDF & Editable PowerPoint)
• Quick Note Recording Sheet
• Additional Divider Pages (Lesson Plans, Class List, School Calendar, etc.)
• Ready-Made Tabs

I chose to print the main covers in color, but the individual standards on coordinating colored paper. You could laminate the divider pages, but I opted to slip each into a protective sleeve. The possibilities of how to set your binder up are virtually endless.

I did make the lesson recording sheet in both PDF and editable format. My thinking is hand write the information in this year and then type the successful lessons into the editable page next summer. That way next year's binder will have that information filled in. I will just record date taught and concerns I may have had.
