Description

This is a poem about our first president and the cherry tree. I took the poem and turned it into a book and matched pictures to help students be able to get a mental image of the poem. I printed this on cardstock, laminated the pages and then bound the pages together to create the book. My students LOVED this book so much I ended up printing additional copies to put in our class library for them. I was even able to tie this poem not only into social studies/history, and poetry but also into reading with connections. My students were able to make personal connections about a time they did something that they shouldn't have and they had to tell the truth.
