Geometry - Smartboard Q and A Game - Properties and Congruence of Triangles

This Smartboard Q and A game, a type of Jeopardy game, is designed to review properties of a triangle and congruence of triangles using the categories:

• Triangle sum,

• Constructions,

• Congruence,

• Proof, and

• Hodge podge.

• Hidden in the game is a bonus question. The game ends a Final Q and A question.

Start the game with the Q and A game board projected on the white board or an interactive white board. Divide the students into groups that will compete. Choose a random group to pick a starting category and an amount of money. When you click on the dollar amount a question is revealed. Have each group record their answer on a white tablet or a communicator. The teacher can decide which group answers the question correctly first. Click on the answer and the correct solution for the problem will be revealed. You will also be able to return to the game board.

When a question is used, move the "used" marker to that question.

As you are picking question from the board, there is a hidden bonus question. Students in the group that selected the bonus question will be able to wager some of their collected money before revealing the question. Solutions can be revealed after checking the groups answer.

After all twenty-five questions have been revealed you can move to the Final Q and A question. Students will be able to place their wager on this question before the question is revealed. Check all groups’ answers and confirm their answers by revealing the solution on the board.
