What educators are saying

Students used this resource as independent work and I also used it for some small group work. Very engaging.
A great resource for students to review skills covered in class. This resource can be used as individual review or collaborative review in small groups.

Description

Geometry Digital Unit 1: Points, Lines, Line Segments, Rays, and Angles

Looking for an engaging and paperless way for your 4th graders to learn about and practice points, lines, line segments, rays, and angles? This 27-page interactive Google Slides file has everything you need for 3-4 days of instruction and practice with standard 4.G.A.1. Concepts are explained and modeled so that students can be successful with the digital practice. There are lots of draggable elements, and text boxes are ready for your students to show their thinking. (And if you are a Seesaw school, the bonus Seesaw templates let students write directly on the templates!)

Students work in edit mode to complete assignments that lay the foundation for understanding more complex geometric concepts, such as how to classify polygons according to their types of lines and angles. Whether you are in-person, remote, or hybrid, if your students are 1:1 with devices, this product will work for you!

Concepts Covered:

• Identifying points, lines, line segments, rays

• Types of Lines: parallel, intersecting, perpendicular

• Review of vertical, horizontal, and diagonal lines

• Types of Angles: acute, right, obtuse, straight

• Recognizing types of lines in figures and polygons

• Recognizing angles in line figures and polygons

You will receive a PDF with links to your Google and Seesaw files, along with directions for how to assign them to your students.

This unit is part of two larger Geometry and Geometric Measurement bundles, and is the first one I recommend teaching, as it has so much of the foundational vocabulary needed.
